Our Logistics company provides a number of services to our contracted customers including:
1) Warehousing/Inventory Management
2) Transportation
3) In-Home Delivery
We are looking to create a software to manage all of these functions as well as other company administartive task (such as time keeping and certain payroll functions).
We would like our customers to be able to view certain information which we can control.
The primary purpose of this software would be to manage our available delivery (based on the number of trucks and personnel and also the areas that they will be loacted during a particular day, which will be based on pre-identified zip code territories).
The software will track the "progress" of each service order (delivery) from the point of being scheduled, to being verified with the customer, to being printed out for delivery the morning of, to invoicing when the delivery has been completed, to a follow up phone call to retrieve the customer's feedback.
Changes and alterations ahould be expected as the software is developed.
