Hello,

I wish to have your consideration in regards to a hobby project I would like started. I will tell you what ideal I imagine, you please tell me if there is an easier or more efficient implementation. I am very open minded to suggestions.

1) Application will run on my computer constantly.
2) Application will reference a list of RSS file locations, and download the small RSS file every X minutes.
3) RSS file will be broken down, new information on the RSS file will be imported into database (SQL or MDB?). Each piece of imported data will have a unique id number.
4) Information in DB will be viewable and sortable and editable by me in the application.
5) Information in DB will start with a status of 'unread'. Upon viewing the data, it will go 'read'. I will have the option to flag it with a few flags.
6) There will be an editable list of keywords that when found in the data, that specific line will be automatically marked as 'read'.
7) Data will by default be viewable by the group / RSS file it was imported. Also viewable by one of the flags.
8) Under some circumstances, old data will be on the new RSS data. That is indicative of the unique ID number's data has been edited. The data will need to in this instance be flagged 'updated'.

I have more I want to do, but I will do that in future phases. I do not need this first phase to be pretty. I am looking for simple functionality as well as stability, but we can look at making it more easy on the eyes in the future.

I am going to try to attach a sample copy of the RSS file that would be expected to be downloaded and imported locally to my computer.

If you have any question please don't hesitate to ask.

Thank you,
